Eastaboga - Elizabeth Farris Wills, of Eastaboga, departed this life on Friday, October 21, 2011. She was born on September 26, 1929 in Talladega County, Alabama to the late Ben and Malissie Farris. Mrs. Wills joined Sunlight Baptist Church where she faithfully served as a Deaconess, President of the Missionary Society, and a member of the Benevolent Board. She was a graduate of Drewry High School and received her RN degree from the Community Hospital of Nursing in Wilmington, North Carolina. Mrs. Wills leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Gwendolyn Wills Childress, of Birmingham and sons, Kenneth (Sharol) Wills, of Birmingham and Curtis (Beverly) Wilson, of Burke, Va.; one brother, John Eddie (Maggie) Farris, of Detroit Mich.; one son-in-law, Roderick Childress, of Birmingham; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one god-daughter, Carolyn Kirksey Rowls, of Talladega; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service will at noon on Friday, October 28, 2011, at the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church, Eastaboga, Alabama. The Rev. Manuell Smith IV is the pastor. The Rev. Jesse L. Montgomery will officiate. Interment will follow at Talladega Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wills will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to service. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the services.
