WHITE Edward White, 61, Live Oak, passed away Friday, August 2, 2002 at Shands Hospital in Live Oak after a long illness. The Cairo, Ga. native moved to Live Oak from Callahan, Fla. in 1981. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired after 14 years as Project Administrator with Watkins Engineering and Construction in Tallahassee, was co-owner of Whites Country Cabin Restaurant, Orange Park, Fla. and owner of Ed Whites Poultry Farm, Live Oak, Fla. Mr. White was a member of the Carpenters Union and a member of the Southside Baptist Church, Live Oak. Survivors include his wife, Betty White of Live Oak, Fla; His mother, Madelyn Bentley of Live Oak, Fla.; one daughter, Rebecca (Jeff) Rogers of Trenton, Fla.; two sons, Jason (Vicki) White and Jeffery (Amanda) White, both of Live Oak, Fla.; five sisters, Barbara (John) Lucero of Florahome, Fla, Marie Hayes, Wanda (Acie) Tew and Wilma Jean (J.C.) Cooley, all of Lake Park, Ga., and Nancy (Jerry) Jenkins of Live Oak, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Linda White of Orange Park, Fla; three grandchildren, Austin & Garrett White of Live Oak, Fla. and Candace Rogers of Houston, Tx. and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mr. White was preceded in death by his father, James Edward White, his brother, Jack H. White and step-father, Leo Swede Bentley. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2002 at Daniels Memorial Chapel, Live Oak, FL with Rev. T.J. Santerfeit officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
