Edward W. Dufault, 66, of Marlborough formerly of Northborough died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Kindred Transitional and Rehabtlitation Center in Marlborough after an illness. He leaves his children: Rodney W. Dufault and his wife Sue of Rochdale, Jeanne M. Vennard and her husband Paul of Shirley, Sandie L. Dufault and her fiance Tom Wissler of Marlborough, Michael E. Dufault and his wife Amanda of Phenix City, AL and Scott F. Dufault of Northborough. Also leaves four grandchildren: Matthew Dufault, Trisha Dufault, Tyler Wissler, Gavin Dufault. Brother of the late Gary Dufault of FL. He was born in Worcester son of the late Edward R. and Theresa J. (Bouthiette) Dufault and lived in Marlborough for the past several years. He attended Algonquin High School in Northborough. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was the owner and operator of Ed's Autobody Shop on South St. in Marlborough for over 25 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and in his youth raced at the former Westboro Speedway, sponsored by his own shop under the number 15. He also raced at Thompson Speedway in CT. and in Hudson, NH. Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 10 to 12 noon in the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough. Following visiting hours, a celebration of Ed's Life will continue at his favorite hangout, "The American Legion", 88 Maple Street, Marlborough. Private burial will be held at a later date.
