EDWARD LEE WITTE LANSING, IL Edward Lee Witte, age 74, of Lansing, IL passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynn; four children: Todd (Katherine) Witte, Tony (Sophie) Dork, Robert Dork, and Karla Ramirez; seven grandchildren: Dominic, Braelyn, Courtni, Hali, Sara, Amanda, and Jordan; one great grandchild, Nico; two brothers: Leroy (late Patricia) Witte and Jack Bitner; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Birch and Mabel Witte; one brother; and one sister. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. (corner of Main and Kennedy), Schererville, IN with Deacon Ray Helfen officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Edward was a lifelong area resident and a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Material Service Local 701 with 17 years of service and U.S. Steel with 27 years of service.
