<!-- Earl GAMBLE--> GAMBLE, EarlAge 97, of Sparta, passed away April 19, 2009. Earl was a long time member of Central Church of Church in Sparta, TN. His hobbies included wood working, flying airplanes, and fishing. Earl was born November 12, 1911 in Kingston Springs, TN. He was 1 of 4 children born to Clifton and Martha Gamble. He was also a member of the coast guard. He lived and worked in Nashville most of his life in the electronic service department. In 1975 he moved to Sparta, TN. where he lived in a cabin on Center Hill Lake that he along with family and friends built. He was an active member of Central Church of Christ in Sparta. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Clinnie, his second wife, Jennie Mae, 2 brothers and 1 sister, 1 son, Carl Ellis, and 1 grandson, Charles Jr.. Earl is survived by 2 sons, Donald (Patsy) Gamble of Nashville, TN and Charles Gamble, of Cresco, IA; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 23rd at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of West Harpeth Funeral Home with Don Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
