WHEELER, Mrs. Evelyn J., a resident of Montgomery, AL., died Tuesday, June 24, 2003. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from Holt Street Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Willie D. McClung, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, Inc.She is survived by three children, Hazel Wheeler Nelson March, Elno-ra Wheeler Hoston (William), both of Montgomery and Herbert Eu-gene Wheeler of Richmond, VA; eight grandchildren, Debra Nelson Shufford (Robert), Wanda Nelson Cowan (Carl), Richard Nelson, Jr., (Lisa), Mary Hoston, Willecia Hoston Christian (Henry), Willetta Hoston Jacobs (Keith), Kimberly Wheeler Goodman (Tony) and Herbert Eu-gene Wheeler, Jr . and 11 great-grandchildren.In addition to the aforementioned immediate family, Mrs. Wheeler leaves a large extended family to cherish her memory one sister, Leanna K. Womack of Syracuse, NY; three sisters-in-law, Mattie Ken-nedy of Ozark, AL, Daisy Ruth Ken-nedy of Syracuse, NY and Celestine Carr of Los Angeles, CA; her long-time friend, Mrs. Margaret Beverly; a devoted caregiving cousin, Terry Taylor; a loyal son-in-law, William Hoston;and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends throughout the nation.In lieu of flowers, please send con-tributions to the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.
