Dorothy Anne Fox, 83     PORTLAND -- Dorothy Anne Fox, 83, of Gulfport, Fla., and formerly of Portland, died    Saturday, May 26, 2007, surrounded by family at her daughter's home in    Portland.      She was born on Jan. 22, 1924, in Portland, the daughter of William and Nora (Curran) Gilloway, attended local schools, and was a 1941 graduate of Portland High School. Dorothy worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph Company as a traffic and line assigner until her retirement in 1978. Following her retirement, she moved to Gulfport, Fla. She served as director of the bingo program at Town Shores, and was on several social committees. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.      She was a former communicant of St. Dominic's Church in Portland, and was currently a communicant of St. Jude's Church in Gulfport.     Dorothy was predeceased by her parents; husband, William Fox in 1997; three brothers, Matthew, Timothy, and William Gilloway; and a sister, Mary Gilloway. She is survived by a son, Richard P. Goss and his wife Debrah of Westbrook; a daughter, Janice Cipriano of Portland; two grandchildren, Anthony D. Cipriano III and his wife Jane of Epsom, N.H.; and Kristofer Goss and his wife Kim of Chicago, Ill. Dorothy also leaves two great-grandchildren, Anthony James and Julia Cipriano, both of Epsom, N.H., who brought her great joy and many smiles.     Dorothy and her family particularly wish to express gratitude to Kris Drew, Susan Dumas RN, Jaimie Adamo RN and Chaplain Larry Greer, of Hospice of Southern Maine, for giving Dorothy their loving care and comfort during her illness.     Visiting hours will be 4 p.m., to 7 p.m., on Thursday, May 31, at Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State St., Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Friday, June 1, at St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Ave., Portland. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
