Memorial service for Dorothy Ann Wallace, 77, Ormond Beach, died Thursday, July 21, 2005, in Port Orange, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Janie Barrows officiating. Mrs. Wallace was born April 26, 1928, in Quincy, Mass., to Matthew J. and Gertrude A. (Blood) McNeilly. She moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1952. Dorothy graduated from the University of Florida and taught for 20 years at Seabreeze High School until her retirement in 1992. One of her favorite memories at Seabreeze was sponsoring the Future Business Leaders of America. Her students always loved Mrs. Wallace and some kept in touch with her through the years. She was a member of Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church and loved doing crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper and watching the Atlanta Braves baseball team. She was a loving wife to her husband of 57 years, Hal Wallace, and a wonderful mother to her daughter, Beverly. She was predeceased in March 11, 2004, by her husband, Hal Wallace; parents, Gertrude A. and Matthew J. McNeilly; brothers, Duncan and John McNeilly; and sister, Norma DeLeuw. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Wallace, Port Orange; sister, Phyllis Welch, Albuquerque, N.M.; and sisters-in-law, Florence, Sandwich, Mass., and Barbara, Quincy.
