OATES, David John - David Oates of Thornbury passed away in Meaford on May 16, 2008 in his 73rd year. Loving father of Lynne Oates-Pennell (Rob) of Courtice and Chris Oates (Judy Barnes) of Toronto. Sadly missed Grandpa of Shyla Oates- Pennell. Brother of Joyce Rundle (Ronald) of Bracebridge. Predeceased by a brother Gordon Oates and fondly remembered by his wife Tilly of Uxbridge. Cremation has taken place and a memorial celebration will be held at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, The Valley Chapel, 20 Alice Street East, Thornbury on Friday, May 23rd at 1:30 pm.
