DAVID HAROLD LAW CEDAR LAKE, IN David Harold Law, age 73, peacefully passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Colleen (nee Melton) Law; children: Colette Law of Cedar Lake, Jeffery (Barbara) Law of DeMotte, and Andrea Law of Cape Cod, Mass; grandchildren: Anthony Law-Willey, Sydney Law, Daley Law, Bobby James and Taylor James; siblings: Christine (Ronald) Adcock, Kim (Damon) Boria, and Mary Scott; niece and nephews: Jolena Hungerford, Terry Adcock, David Adcock, and Larry Browne; many great nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents: Harold Law and Ruth Gustafson Law-Schultz; siblings: Robert Owen Phillips, Howard Charles Meyer, and Bridget Law. David was born on June 4, 1941 in Norwich, New York and graduated from Wirt Miller Beach High School. He retired from Arcelor Mittal Westside Harbor Works with over 40 years of service and was a longtime member of the Concerned Member USA Local 1011 and Hobart Eagles. David coached Merrillville Little League and was an umpire. He also coached the Arena Football League "The Mill Rats" champions. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday from 3:00 PM until time of service at the funeral chapel.
