East Lyme - David C. Harper, 56, of 17 Stone Ranch Road, East Lyme, peacefully entered eternal life on Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Hartford.He was born March 2, 1956, in Troy, N.Y., the son of Claire (Brownell) Crepon of Naples, Fla. and the late Robert Harper. David was a graduate of U-Mass and spent most of his adult life in Atlanta, Ga. before moving back to Connecticut. He was currently employed at Alliance for Living and Alternative Services of CT as an instructor in life skills in Norwich. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, kayaking, painting, architecture, biking and entertaining. He was involved with many fellowships including Friends of Bill W.Besides his mother and his step- father, Donald Crepon, he is survived by three sisters, Ginny Harper of New London, Nancy and Bonnie Harper both of Lebanon. A step-mother, Martha Harper of West Hartford; two step siblings, David Peterson and Anne Townsend; also several nieces and nephews.All funeral services will be private and interment will be at the convenience of the family.The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London has been entrusted with services.Donations in David's memory may be ade to Alliance for Living, 154 Broad St., New London, CT 06320.
