BEDFORD -- Daniel P. Gendreau, 68, a Lowell native and Korean War veteran, died Wednesday, June 1, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis in the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford.He was born in Lowell on Nov. 5, 1936, a son of the late Arthur H. and Josephine E. (Surprenant) Gendreau. He received his education in Lowell schools.An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Gendreau served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Gendreau was a member of the Paralyzed American Veterans.He is survived by two brothers and their wives, Arthur and Joan Gendreau of Fort White, Fla., and John and Gloria Gendreau of Pepperell; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda M. and Paul R. Lareau of Dracut and Joanne Carroll of Seabrook, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.
