COBURN, Claude Clifton Surrounded by his children, Claude passed away on Thursday, September 2, 1999. Predeceased by his parents George and Margaret (nee Downey) and brother Bud. Dear brother of Pat (Delores), Betty Paproski (late Steve) and Ed (late Shirley). Beloved husband of the late Gloria (nee Hitchman) and dearly loved father of Claudia, John (Mardi Friesz), Leslie (Ed Lalonde) and Pam (Andre Gagnon). Very special friend to Eva Wolfe. "Poppy" to loving grandchildren Matt, Ashley, Adam, J.C., Jaclyn, Julie, Lauren, Corey and Maggie. Born in Vanguard Saskatchewan on February 6, 1922. WWII Vet and Ontario Hydro Retiree. Claude loved his cottage and to ballroom dance. Special thanks to Dr. L. Rossman and the Ottawa General Hospital and Cancer Centre staff. In special appreciation of the outstanding care of the 5 West Nursing and Support Staff, donations to the Ottawa General Hospital are greatly appreciated. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent St. on Tuesday from 11 a.m. til service time at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment Bearbrook United Cemetery.
