WHALEN, Clara W., 99, of Holiday, passed away on May 11, 2004 at Gulfside Hospice in New Port Richey. She was born in Mineola, N.Y. and came here 23 years ago from Swan Lake, N.Y. She was a homemaker. She belonged to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in New Port Richey and Gulf Harbors Civic Assoc. She is survived by two granddaughters, Dawn D. LaLiberte of Holiday and Robin Akalski of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; four great-grandchildren, Colleen Crozier of New Port Richey, Tara Crozier and Danielle Horn, both of Holiday and Kevin LaLiberte of New Port Richey; and three great- great-grandchildren, Heather, Brittney and Jillian. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 14 from 9-9:45 a.m. at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Rd. in New Port Richey.
