ObituaryChristopher M. Young, 35, of St. James City on Pine Island, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 23rd at his home. Born in Philadelphia, Chris resided in Clifton Heights, PA until his family moved to Vineland, NJ in 1989, to make room for Chris's horse, "Snowman". Chris was an animal cruelty investigator for CCSPCA in Vineland, NJ. While in Florida, he nursed a bald eagle with a broken wing and nursed a tiny baby raccoon to independence. Chris shared that it was the highlight of his life to watch the bald eagle take flight.Christopher's ambitions for the future included establishing a wildlife refuge to nurse injured wildlife until they could return to their natural environment. He also was exploring the possibility of opening a pet shop. Additionally, he was an avid fisherman.Chris was pre-deceased by his father, Warren on January 11, 2008. Surviving are his mother, Mary Pat Young, 3 brothers, Matthew, Josh and wife Jacqueline and Warren Patrick. He leaves behind his nephews, Matthew, Gage, Anthony and nieces Kassie and Madisen, all who adored their Uncle Chris and looked forward to is visits to Vineland.He will be sadly missed by his aunts and uncles and friends in NJ, his favorite cousins include Connie Bottinelli and Tina Crumpacker and great uncle Russell E. Miller, who reside in Florida as well as his former wife and dear friend Debby Young and daughter Kaci. Lastly he will be missed by his faithful friend of 24 years, "Snowman". Memorial service in Florida on Sunday, Sept. 28th at 6:30 PM to celebrate Chris's life will be held at Beacon Executive Suites - in the Courtyard - 8359 Beacon Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.
