WALDRON, CHARLES WELLS - Charles L. Waldron, 65, of Griffin Rd. died Saturday February 26, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cohoes he was the son of the late George and Gertrude Reeve Waldron. He was a 1966 graduate of Cohoes High School. Charles was a self employed Architectural Designer and in his earlier years worked as a carpenter and tool and dye maker. He was a member of the Pleasantdale Rod & Gun club as well as Fiddlers Elbo Wrek Rod & Gun Club in Greenwich. He loved to attend Celtic festivals. He also enjoyed drawing, horseshoes and camping. He is survived by his wife Beth Durocher Waldron. He is the father of Janine Gross of Troy, Racquel Murray of Cohoes, Nicole Metacarpa of Ballston Spa, Charles Waldron II of Wells and the late Scott C. Waldron and the brother of Roger Waldron of Cherry Valley, George Waldron of Oregon, William Waldron of Johnstown, Roy Waldron (his twin) of Rome, Brian Waldron of Florida and Gary Waldron of Poestenkill. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford with his brother Roger and sister in law Debbie officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday prior to the funeral service from 4-8 p.m. Those who wish may make contributions to the Joseph Stephanowski Memorial Fund at Waterford Halfmoon High School in care of the funeral home office.
