DOYLE, CHARLES J.Charles J. Doyle, 87, died at home, December 7, 2004. Charles was born November 17, 1917 in Lawrence, MA, the son of Nellie and John Doyle. He grew up in Tuckahoe, NY. He served in WWII as a 2nd Lieutenant and retired as a Captain. On May 10, 1952, Charles married Eileen M. Harrison at Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Vernon. They moved to Greenburgh in 1957. She predeceased him in 1987. He was a devoted husband and father. Mr. Doyle was a self-employed salesman in Westchester for 50 years. He sold janitorial supplies. He also owned a vending machine company and coffee service, C.J. Doyle & Co. Charles was a member of the Knight's of Columbus, William A. Dumphy Council and the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Elmsford. Survivors include his three loving children: Eileen (Gordon) Kitchen of Burnaby, B.C., Canada; Charles Doyle of Port Townsend, WA, and Patricia (Rene) Catalan of Greenburgh, NY; grandchildren: Jessica, Tara, Rene, Charleen, Cecilia, Camden and Patrick; great-grandchildren: Darius, Xavier, Siobahn, Amelia, Desmond, and Orlando. Charles was also predeceased by his sisters: Ethna Doyle, Mary Mascaro, Irene Patterson and brother, John Doyle. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mass 11 am, Saturday, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Elmsford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Hospice of Westchester, 95 So. Broadway, 4th Fl., White Plains, NY 10601.
