Charles Henry White June 26, 1917 - March 29, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Leyden's Funeral Home (Calgary) On March 29, 2005 Chuck White passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre at the age of 87. Chuck is survived by his sons John (Sandy) White of Crooked Creek, AB and Cal (Lorri) White of Grimshaw, AB; five grandchildren Gry, Saionne, Kyle, Kati, and Kier;and his brother Fred of Nanaimo, B.C. He was predeceased by his wife Jean McQueen White and a grandson Adam. Chuck was born in Folkestone, England and immigrated to Calgary in 1918 where he has remained since. He served in the R.C.M.P. and Canadian Infantry during WWII before beginning his career in the Lumber Industry. He was a member of the Perfection Lodge #9 GRA AF & AM, Scottish Rite, Royal Order of Scotland and a former member of the Al Ahzar Shrine Temple. Chuck was also a member of the R.C.M.P. Veterans Association, Division E. The family would like to thank the staff of the Bethany Care Centre and all the caregivers who helped during this past year. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 11 am at Leyden's "Chapel of Remembrance" (17th Ave. and 2nd St. SW) with Father Tony Ward officiating. A private family interment will take place at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice or the Masonic Higher Education Bursary Fund.
