Charles Duncan Duclos April 5, 1921 - December 21, 2013 Passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of December 21, 2013 surrounded by his wife of 66 years, Mary Lois (Winslow-Sprague) Duclos, sons Victor R. Duclos (Louise Crossley) and Brian E. Duclos (Denise Brown), and daughter M. Lorraine Duclos in Hudson, Quebec.Duncan was a sixth generation Canadian. He was born in Regina, SK, and grew up and lived in Montreal. He graduated from Bishop's College School and McGill University (B. Comm). He served his country with distinction during WWII. He would spend most of his working life with Ronalds Federated and retired as their Corporate Secretary. He moved with Mary to Como/Hudson in 1976 where he served his community and his church, while enjoying his retirement and his family. Dunc had a heart as big as all outdoors and many were fortunate to know him as a friend. He had a positive attitude and never spoke ill of anyone. He had a smile on his face most of the time and would share a joke or a laugh with any and all he met. He was a devoted family man, a contributing community member (councilor and Legion Hardy Rocks lead) and a lover of life.He will be deeply missed by his wife, sons and daughter, nieces and nephews as well as his grandchildren, Ryan C. Duclos, Samantha C. Stephens (Mark), and Amanda M. Bongiovanni-Duclos, and great-granddaughter Mikayla C. Stephens. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Church (261 Main Road) at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 27, in Hudson, Quebec. As well, a celebration of his life is being planned for late spring/early summer.
