PALING, Charles Arthur - Age 90 of R. R. # 6 Dresden passed away Friday, September 21, 2007 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, Wallaceburg. Beloved husband of Lily (Wade) Paling and the late Valera (Tiffin) Paling (1985). Loved father of Bette & Murray Northcott, Wayne & Marilyn Paling of Dresden, Bonnie and Philip Hoy of Fletcher, Dorothy& Bill Martin of Port Lambton, Kathy & Jim Gillies of Lambeth, Gary & Judy Paling of Dresden and Margaret & Del Chinnick of Chatham. Stepfather of Ken & Janet Wade of Becher, Catherine & Lionel Ouellette of Wallaceburg and Bruce & Shirley Wade of Wallaceburg. Loving Grandfather of 18 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. Also remembered by several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother- in-law Bob Hughes of Chatham, sisters-in- law Sara Paling of Dresden, Ida Yoos of Wallaceburg, Marjory Newcombe of Thamesville, Pat Tiffin of Thamesville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by a daughter Arlene, son Ronald and sisters Thelma Law and Kathleen Hughes, his brother Lyle, father Elmer Paling, mother Ferna and step mother Alfreda. Charles was a farmer and a member of Lindsay Road United Church. He lived his whole life on the 9th concession of Chatham Township. Visitors will be received at the THOMAS L. DEBURGER FUNERAL HOME 620 Cross Street, Dresden on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, September 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Linda Maw officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Kenesserie Camp Building Fund or Lindsay Road United Church would be appreciated. 10837728
