POULIN (Soeur Carmen) — A l'infirmerie des Soeurs de la Charité, le 1er juillet 2005 est décédée Soeur Carmen Poulin à l'âge de 83 ans, après 62 ans de vie religieuse. Outre sa famille religieuse, le défunt laisse une soeur: Mme Thérèse King de Fairefield, Maine; une belle-soeur: Mme Nina Poulin de Atwater, Califomie; ainsi que quelques neveux et nièces. Les funérailles, sous la direction du Complexe Funéraire Ubald Lalime Inc. Saint-Hyacinthe ont eu lieu lundi 4 juillet 2005 en la Chapelle de la communauté, suivies de l'inhumation au cimetière de la communauté.SAINT-HYACINTHE, Quebec - Sister Carmen Poulin of the congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Saint-Hyacinthe passed away on Friday, July 1, at 83 years old and 62 years of religious life, at the Mother House in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.She was born in Waterville on July 16, 1921. She entered the community on Aug. 2, 1939 and later made profession.She was missioned in the United States most of her life as a teacher, which she loved and excelled in. She was also Missioned in Manitoba, where she also did some teaching. She was stationed in Portland and in North Smithfield, R.I., where she was loved as an activity director for the long-term care residents. In 1993, she went back to Canada where she performed various duties among them, beautiful artistic manual works.Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Theresa King of Fairfield; and a sister-in-law, Nina Poulin of Atwater, Calif.; and a few nieces and nephews.
