Carmela L. (Grillo) DuPont, 95, of Milford, died August 7, 2013 in her home. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. DuPont who died in 1982. She was born Milford daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Justa) Grillo and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1937. Mrs. DuPont retired in 1974 from the Archer Rubber Company in Milford where she was employed as a shoe worker. She was also employed as a waitress in her younger years in several restaurants in the Milford area. She was an avid Red Sox fan, bingo player and loved to visit casinos. She is survived by her daughter Lois and her husband James Dawson of Uxbridge, one sister Angie Gheringhelli of Blackstone, three grandchildren, Lori and her husband Stephen Konde of Worcester, Christine Dawson of Auburn, Melissa and her husband John Packwood of Louisville KY, four great-grandchildren, Jonathon Konde of Worcester, Jarrett Packwood, Dawson Packwood and Mackenzie Packwood all of Louisville KY. The funeral will be held Monday, August 12, 2013 at 9AM from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 East Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of family. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the V.N.A.
