CHARLES MICHAEL KIRK BURLINGTON - Charles (Chuck) Kirk, 59, of Grove, Okla., went home to the Lord on Nov. 12, 2009. He was born Feb. 16, 1950, in Burlington, Vt., the oldest child of E.J. and Aline Gevry Kirk. A graduate of Emery Aviation College, Chuck excelled as a flight instructor and pilot, as owner and operator of a contracting business in Aspen, Colo., and as conductor for the BNSF Railroad in Colo. and S.D. Chuck leaves his loving wife Shelly and her family of Okla. and Kan., his mother, Aline Kirk of South Burlington, a son, Matthew Kirk, of Va., and grandsons Parker and Cullen Kirk. He also leaves his siblings and their families: brother Robert Kirk and wife Kate Marra of Colo.; sisters Laurie Ross of Burlington; Marie Gaboriault and husband Rob of Essex; Nancy Garrand and fiance Craig Atherton of Burlington; Patti Hoke and husband Mike of Colo.; Anne Overall and husband Mike of Md., plus 14 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father E.J. and his oldest son, Jeffrey. A memorial service will be held on Dec. 7 at the Pines Sr. Living Community Room at 7 Aspen Dr. in South Burlington at ll a.m. Burial will be in Meeker, Colo. in June 2010.
