CHAPMAN _ Beverley Ann (nee Ladd). Born December 12, 1934 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Passed away in the early evening of January 27th, 2004, at Lions Gate Hospital after a very brave hard fought 3 year battle with advanced breast cancer. Mom taught us so much about dignity, strength, hope, courage and humor while engaged in a fight for her life. Mom loved and accepted people as they were. She had a strong sense of compassion, kindness, decency and fairness, which drew people to her. She also had a wonderful sense of humor, which she maintained until the end of her life. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband Fred of 47 years; 3 children, Carol (Sandy), Beth (Dave), Vanessa (Rod); grandchildren, Grant, Blake, Alexandra, Liam, Justin and Melissa. She was predeceased by infant son Blake in October 1960. Also survived by sisters Barb Ladd (Martin), Ellen Farmer (Jack); brother Ted Ladd (Helen) as well as dear friends Diane LaFlamme (Mario) and Betty Warke (Ron). Beverley worked for Steele Lumber from 1976-1986. She was then employed at Canadian Linen from 1991 until her illness in 2001. She had a strong work ethic and was an excellent employee for any company she worked for. Special thanks for the compassionate, caring staff in the Palliative Care Unit at Lions Gate Hospital who did their best to keep Mom comfortable in her last few weeks. Thank you to Dr. Rose Coschizza, Dr. Mary O'Connell, Kelly and Hanh for the loving thoughtful care they provided for Mom. At Bev's request there will be no service. First Memorial will be in charge and will arrange for cremation. Death cannot sever the ties of love that bind Our souls through mortal years they last forever We Love You So Mom and Will See You Again
