Retired Para Pro GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Betty Frances Newman, 71, wife of the late Willie A. Newman, entered into rest March 26, 2009. Graveside services will be held 3:00PM, Saturday, March 28, 2009, in Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Henderson officiating. Survivors include four sons, Bobby (Faye) Newman, W.A. (Angel) Newman, Len Newman of Grovetown, and Roy (Michelle) Newman, Martinez; three daughters, Denise (Bobby) Barnes, Augusta, Tammy LaBorde, Toccoa, and Melody (George) Ashmen, Martinez; three brothers, Johnny Pierce, Elliott Pierce, of Florida, and Freddie Pierce, Blythe; one sister, Ceceil Newman, Evans; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gus Newman, W.S. Newman, Wayne Newman, George Ashmen, Jr., Robin Young, and Tony Ferrendez; Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Young and William Parker.
