WEST MILFORD — Services were held for Bernard M. White, 93, of this township, who died on Saturday, September 3, 2011. Born in New York City, Mr. White lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to West Milford 21 years ago. He was a banker at Chemical Bank, New York, before retiring. Also, he was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt, and the Pinecliff Lake Community Club, West Milford. Services were Thursday, September 8 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Brooklyn, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to CAPP, 5 Hanover Square, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10004. Mr. White is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sons, Bernard of Staten Island, N.Y., and Joseph of Lido Beach, N.Y.; his daughters, Marie Kelly of Brooklyn, Beth McCue of Georgia, Patricia Hammond of Brooklyn, Margi White of Brooklyn, and Kathleen Farrell of Scotch Plains; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Bridget.
