ADAM, Benjamin Heinz Died suddenly on September 5, 2007 after collapsing on the soccer field at Keyano College in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Ben was born on June 21, 1977 in Burnaby, BC. He moved with his family to Langley, BC in 1987 where he attended The King's School. After graduating in 1995, Ben was a part of various community sports teams including football, baseball, and soccer. He went on to earn a degree in Human Kinetics from Trinity Western University where he played on the Spartans men's soccer team from 1997 to 2002. He also was a part of the TWU coaching staff from 2003 to 2005. A coach at heart, Ben was a part of the coaching staff on many soccer teams at the community, provincial, and national level. In 2006 he accepted a coaching position at Total Soccer Systems in Richmond, BC. Ben's goal of becoming a college level soccer coach came true on August 7, 2007, when he accepted the position of Athletic Coordinator and Women's Soccer Coach at Keyano College in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Ben will be lovingly remembered by his parents Christian and Gudrun, siblings Tanya (Peter), Joy (Ryan), Ruth (Josh), Jeremiah, and Hannah; niece Tama; aunts; uncles; cousins; friends and the soccer communities he was a part of. Ben was predeceased by his grandfather Heinz Krauskops and his uncle William Krauskops The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2007 at The King's Community Centre, 21783 76B Avenue, Langley, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be designated to the "Ben Adam New Hope Uganda Fund" or the "Ben Adam Keyano College Fund," with cheques made out to Gudrun Adam.
