FITCHBURG -- Beatrice L. (Santerre) Connolly, 92, of Fitchburg, formerly of Leominster, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, in HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster after a short illness. She was born on May 11, 1915, in Canada, daughter of the late Dolar and Georgiana (LaFleche) Santerre. She attended Fitchburg High School. Mrs. Connolly worked as a supervisor for the Department of Welfare for 16 years before her retirement in 1984. She was a member of Saint Leo’s Church. Her husband, Martin Connolly, died in 1952. She was also predeceased by her two sons, Martin and Joseph Connolly, in 1999 and 2000, respectively, and three brothers, Leonard Santerre, Roland Santerre and Orlando Santerre. She leaves four grandsons, Matthew Connolly, Jesse Connolly, Ryan Connolly and Patrick Connolly and his wife, Nancy, all of Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Christina, Abigail and Joseph Connolly; her sister, Florence Waugh and her husband, Jesse, of Fitchburg; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Connolly of Calif.; several nieces and nephews. CONNOLLY -- The funeral will be held Monday, Sept. 24, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint Leo’s Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery in Fitchburg. A calling hour will precede the Mass, Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
