BARBARA J.WALLACE, 79S & S Design AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Barbara J. Wallace, age 79, of Auburndale, passed away Tuesday (July 19, 2011) in Winter Haven due to respiratory failure. Mrs. Wallace was born in Washington, D.C. and had lived in this area for the past 49 years, coming from Mexico Beach. Mrs. Wallace was a retired seamstress with S & S Design and enjoyed watching sporting events, cooking, bowling and her pets. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Wallace and son Steve Vayda. Survivors include 3 sons: Jim (Mary) Vayda of Bartow, John (Barbara) Vayda of Orlando and Richard (Rita) Vayda of Auburndale, a daughter Elaine (Mike) Eglin of Crestview, FL, daughter-in-law Vicki Vayda of Auburndale, 3 stepchildren, a sister Rachel Edwards of High Acres, FL, 16 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. A memorial service will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale. Friends may gather with the family beginning at 10 a.m.
