PALM BAY, Fla. -- Barbara A. (Mastrullo) Gallagher, 73, of Palm Bay and a former longtime resident of Billerica, died Friday, March 23, following a brief illness. She was the wife of Duke Gallagher.She was born in Boston on Jan. 11, 1934, daughter of the late Lawrence McInnis and Florence Coyle, and her beloved stepmother, Elizabeth McInnis.She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Palm Bay, and was a parishioner at St. Theresa Church in Billerica prior to moving to Palm Bay.Before her retirement, Mrs. Gallagher worked for many years as a specialized machine operator at 3M Corp. in Chelmsford, and was an aide at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood, Fla.She was an avid football fan, and a lifelong supporter of the New England Patriots, regularly attending games with her family until moving to Florida in 1978. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of several local organizations in the Palm Bay area.Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Anthony and Eleanor Mastrullo, and Joseph and Karen Mastrullo, all of Billerica; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Jack Sharry of Chelmsford; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.She is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Powers , widow of Lawrence Powers of Palm Bay, Fla., and Margie Downey, and her husband, Gerard Downey of Saugus, Mass.; as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends. She will be greatly missed by her best friend of more than 50 years, Dorothy Casella Connors, residing in Florida.She was also the wife of Vito J. Mastrullo, who died in 1991, and mother of Debra (Mastrullo) Nelson, who died in 1997.
