GRADY, Berniece James, age 57, a former resident of Meridi-an, Mississippi expired Wednes-day, July 19, 2006 at a local hospital in Montgomery, Ala-bama. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 11:00 am from Abraham Baptist Church Millbrook, Ala-bama, Rev. Michael O. Reeves, Pastor with Elder Marzell Moore officiating. Interment will be held at Walnut Grove Church-yard Cemetery, Morvin, Ala-bama with E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home direct-ing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Presi-dent Jones and Lucille Dixon Jones, and grandmother, Ms. Arcola Witherspoon. She leaves to cherish her memories: a de-voted husband, Mack M. Gra-dy; two devoted and loving daughters, Marnie and Melissa J. Bell of montgomery, AL.; two brothers, Jessie M. James, Montgomery, AL., and George (Wanda) Jones Sr., Mobile, AL.; two brothers-in-law, Fred Gray, Meridian, MS., and Robert Earl Gray, Los Angeles, CA.; two sis-ters-in-law, Dorothy Crowell, Meridian, MS., and Joann (Tho-mas) Butler, Inglewood, CA.; step-daughters, Ms. Maxine Robinson, Lemora, CA., Ms. Brenda Grady, Meridian, MS., Ms. Dian Grady, Inglewood, CA., and Ms. Doreen Grady, Meridian, MS.; two aunts, Carrie Pope, Detroit, MI., and Mrs. Le-nora (J.C.) Witherspoon, Mor-vin, AL.; one uncle, Alonzo Dix-on, Detroit, MI., and a host of nieces, nephews, other rela-tives and very devoted friends, Mrs. Callie Williams, Ms. Marian Roberts, Mrs. Bertha Reed and Ms. Tamara Rochell. The body will lie-in-state from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the church.
