OBITUARY ARTHUR ANDREW BRUNEAU We regret to announce that Arthur Bruneau passed away peacefully at the Veteran's Hospital in Montreal on December 20, 2008. Art was born October 28, 1923 in Montreal to Sydney and Ruth Bruneau. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law Degrees from McGill University. He was a pilot in the RCAF during World War II and received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his dedicated service. Art returned home from the War and married his beloved, Margaret "M" Burden on March 7, 1947. He is survived by their three sons, David, Rob (Darla), and Steve and five grandchildren, Crystal, Jordan, Megan, Samuel and Paul. Art and M were devoted to each other until M's unfortunate passing in May of 2002. He is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Ross, and was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Davidson and Ida Bruneau. Art will be sadly missed by his many close friends and family members. Art spent his entire professional career with Alcan Aluminum, serving in both Montreal and London, England. He rose to the position of Vice President and retired in 1985 to spend his golden years at his favourite place, Lac Manitou, in the Laurentians. There he and M enjoyed the company of their family and friends, and continued to enjoy their passion for skiing, golf and tennis. As many may recall, both Art and M were renowned for their athletic accomplishments. A memorial service will be held in Ste. Agathe during the summer. The family would like to send a special thank you to all of Dad's close friends who supported him through his failing health.
