Anthony J. Salvatore Utica Brother Anthony J. Salvatore F.S.D. (Franciscans of San Damiano), age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the St. Lukes Home. Born in Utica on February 12, 1934, Anthony was the son of the late James P. Jim and Lena (Fiore) Salvatore. He was raised and educated locally. Anthony held various positions and was most recently under the employ of Zogby International. He was a communicant of St. Louis Gonzaga Church where he enjoyed volunteering. Anthony is survived by his niece, Jacqueline Salvatore of AZ and his nephew, James and Melissa Salvatore of Texas; great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, James A. Salvatore. The family wishes to acknowledge the staff of Clark North and Barton East of St. Lukes Home for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Anthonys funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Saturday at 12:00 noon at St. Louis Gonzaga Church where the Divine Liturgy of the Faithful Departed will be celebrated by Chorbishop John D. Faris. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. Entombment will take place in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
