Ann Moser Weir, of Piedmont, formerly of New Castle, Pa., and Grand Rapids, MI, passed away at Hospice House of the Upstate in Anderson on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, after a period of declining health.She was born in Butler County, Pa., on Nov. 7, 1912. She had been a resident of New Castle, Pa., and Grand Rapids, Mich., prior to moving to Piedmont in 1986.She was a retired beautician.She was a born-again Christian and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, Greenville. She had been a former member of Caleb's Kin and Morningside Seniors.She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Francis M. Weir; a daughter and son-in-law, Alyce and Ron Countryman, of Greenville; three grandchildren, Mrs. Kay Miller, and her husband, Stan, of LaGrange, Ga., Mrs. Judy Oakman, and her husband, Jamie, of Lexington, and Bruce Countryman, and his wife, Ellen, of Taylors; and eight great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Mary Filgus Moser; and a sister, Mary Alice Jones.Visitation will be today from 6 to 7 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Greenville; and also from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Tony Miller, Pastor of Morningside Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Graceland East Memorial Gardens on Woodruff Road.Memorials may be made to Building Completion Fund of Morningside Baptist Church, 1115 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615.The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
