ANGEL LYNN ROSE ALLAN-MARCHUK (Shaboutay-Benaisekquay) Angel Lynn Rose Allan-Marchuk was born August 30, 2005 at 11:45 a.m. weighing 2 lbs. 2 oz. Angel is survived by her twin sister Brookelynn Arianna Rose Allan-Marchuk, sister Shaylynn Destiny Faith Allan-Marchuk, mother Lindsey Patricia Allan, father Eric Todd Marchuk, grandparents Charlene Allan, Lois Allan, Norman Allan Jr. (Acer), and Amy and Todd Marchuk, all of Fort Frances, as well as Gaétan Dubois from Lac St. Jean, Quebec. Great grandparents are Norman and Patricia Allan, of Nicickousemenecaning, Marleen and Donald Jarvis, and the late Dennis Jarvis of Rainy River, and Peter and Pamela Marchuk of Fort Frances. She is also survived by numerous family and friends. A wake was held on Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 and a traditional ceremony was held at the Nicickousemenecaning gymnasium on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005 with Elder Ralph Johnson officiating. This was followed by the burial in Nicickousemenecaning First Nation Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers were Todd Marchuk, Norman Allan Jr., Norman Allan Sr., Christopher Johnson, Roger Allen, and Edmund Allan. Pallbearers were Kiel Martin, Terry Allan, Raymond Indian, Damien Allan, and Chris Trapp. In tears we say you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, “Come to Me”. So when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful, free from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer that again. You didn’t deserve what you went through, So He took you home to rest, God’s garden must be beautiful For He only takes the best.
