MAINS, Alton Thomas Peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean Burns-Nichol and Myrtle Newcombe-Fraser. Dear father of Anne Tubman (John), John (Edna), Reba Featherstone (Glen), Henry (Carol). Predeceased by his son Melvin. Brother of Roy and the late Russell Mains. Loving grandfather of Kim McKenna, Ben Tubman, Janet Featherstone, Joan Morrison, Julie Featherstone, Doug Featherstone, Jeffrey Mains, Cindy Armour, Christine Croteau and Robbie Mains. Also survived by 13 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Valley Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Home, 115 Rivington St. Carp on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment Munster Union Cemetery.
