THOMAS, Mr. Allen Wendell, age 57, a resident of Millbrook, AL passed away on November 8, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012, 11:00 a.m., Jackson Chapel AME Zion, Coosada, AL with Rev. Greg Harris officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Gardens. Mr. Thomas was a member of Jackson Chapel AME Zion church. He served in the US Army & National Guard. Survivors include his daughter, Twanda Talley of Montgomery, AL; granddaughter, Sydney Talley of Montgomery, AL; girlfriend, Gloria Harris of Alpine, AL; sister, Cheryl Washington of Millbrook, AL; brothers, Raymond Thomas (Linda) of Raleigh, N.C.; Stanley Thomas of Louisburgh, N.C.; Kenneth Thomas (Cheryl) of Cleveland, OH; Patrick Thomas (Ruby) of Whitehall, AL; Christopher Thomas of Raleigh, N.C.. Pallbearers will be Neil Washington, Marcus Washington, C.J. Washington, Anthony Wilson, Stanley Thomas Jr. & Kenneth Thomas. Mr. Thomas will lie in state on the day of the service at the church from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing.
