COURVILLE, Alice (Née Galipeau) The family announces with sorrow her peaceful death after a courageous battle with cancer, Saturday June 7, 2003, in Sudbury, at the age of 79 years. Daughter of the late Wilfrid Galipeau and of the late Clara Galipeau (née Valade). Wife of the late Edmé Courville predeceased in 1985. Loving mother of Denise Bradley (husband Yves), Paulette Lavallie (husband Gervas) all of Sudbury and Richard (wife Susan) of Ottawa. Dear sister of Pauline McIntosh of Kitchener. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Michel, Anne, Carole, Mathieu, Renée, Lisa and by her 3 great grandchildren Amanda, Sarah and Brianna. The family expresses their appreciation to the Northeastern Ontario Cancer Centre, Dr. Scott Young, Barb Kaitala, Dr. Knight, Dr. Kari Olivier, Angèla Paquin of Palliative Care, Sue Cirelli of CCAC and the 4th floor at Laurentian Site for the kind and compassionate care given to Alice during her illness. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., (at Notre Dame), Sudbury, Monday evening from 7 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday June 10, 2003, at 10 a.m. in the Bishop Roger Despatie Chapel of the Co-Operative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
