Avis de décès de Alexander W. Carnathan

Norwell Alexander W. "Sandy" Carnathan, 69, of Norwell, died at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 after a long illness. He was born in Weymouth and raised in Braintree. He was a 1956 graduate of Braintree High School where he was the captain of the Football and Basketball teams. He was named a Boston Globe All Star and also a Patriot Ledger All Star for football. He is in the Braintree High School Sports Hall of Fame. He graduated from Brown University in 1960 with Honors in Psychology where he also lettered in Football. Mr. Carnathan went on to receive his Masters of Education degree from Bridgewater State College. He was a Mathematics Teacher at the Silver Lake Regional Middle School in Kingston where he was awarded teacher of the year. He was also the assistant football coach for the Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston. He is survived by a brother James G. Carnathan and Lynne Salmon of North Kingstown, RI, a sister Judith I. Jacintho and her husband William of Middleboro and a sister-in-law Susan Carnathan of South Yarmouth Ma. He is also survived by nieces and nephews including Sean Carnathan and his children Molly and Maxwell, Ian Carnathan, Britta Carnathan Ormston and her husband Rob and their Children Shay and Sara, Lauren Jacintho Hoy and her husband Chris, and David Jacintho. A Funeral Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street Braintree on Monday at 10:0a.m. Burial will be at the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting Hours will be at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Memorial Donations may be sent in Sandy's Memory to the Alexander W. and James G.
