<!-- FH = . -->Albert Henry HornAlbert Henry Horn passed away January 22, 2013, in his home with family in Springfield, MO. Albert was born August 19, 1914 in Barneveld, WI to George and Flora (Carter) Horn, who had immigrated from Yorkshire, England in 1908. Preceding him in death were his wife Margaret Trombold Horn, brothers Harold Horn, William Horn, and Arthur Horn, and sister Hazel Wadley. He and Margaret were married on September 18, 1940 in Tulsa, OK and celebrated 70 years of marriage before her passing in 2010.Albert is survived by his children, Jack Horn (Gwyn) of Hide a Way, TX, Hank Horn (Lucy) of Portland, OR and Marga Pogue (Dick) of Springfield, MO. He was the grandfather to Douglas Horn, Michael Horn, Angie Courtney, Krista Cornejo, Christy Marran, and Keith Marran. Albert is survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and one sister in law, Charlotte Trombold of Wichita, KS.Albert was a WWII Veteran in the US Navy. Albert graduated from Humboldt, KS High School and Iola Junior College. He worked for many years as a railway mail clerk, based in Monett, MO and in the Main Post Office in Springfield. He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, Monett, MO and of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church in Springfield. Albert was talented in woodworking, carpentry, gardening, any and all house improvement projects, and the game of golf. He taught his children to play the game and was proud to have scored three holes in one.Memorial service will be held in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Springfield, MO on February 8 at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity in memory of Albert.
