Agnes T. O'Neill, 89, Springfield, Mo., passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010, in her home in Springfield. She was born May 25, 1921 in the UP of Michigan, the daughter of John and Mary Maurin. Agnes was united in marriage to William J. (Bill) O'Neill in 1942, in Chicago, Ill. Her husband, Bill, passed away August 27, 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Maurin; sisters, Mae and Rosella; and brothers, John and Joseph; and two sons, John and Lance. Agnes is survived by sisters, Margaret Kadlecek, Frances Koutnik and Carolyn Wieman; her daughter, Patricia and husband Rudy Nadherny of Golden, Mo.; two sons, Bill and wife Ina of Springfield, Mo.; and Glenn of Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Agnes was a simple, caring and loving person who adored children. She was liked and loved by all those who knew her, and she will be missed by all. Agnes was extremely proud of her children and their accomplishments in life, and she was never afraid to remind people of that. Memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010, in St. Agnes Cathedral with The Reverend Michael V. McDevitt celebrant, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be at a later date. No visitation is scheduled.
