Martin, Adam WilliamFeb. 2, 1917 - May 22, 2011Adam William Martin, 94, of Sarasota, formerly of Cranbury, N.J. died May 22, 2011.Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at The Fountains. Arrangements by Toale Brothers Funeral Homes. Survivors include his wife, Priscilla (Pat) Wood Martin, his daughter, Priscilla Lynn Mattraw of Celina, Ohio, by his son, Adam Wood Martin of Sarasota also by his four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.Adam was born in Phillipsburg, N.J. to Harlem Hess Martin and Sarah Hille Martin and lived in New Jersey until moving to Sarasota in 2006. He was a teacher and a high school principal until retiring.Adam was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cranbury, N.J. and Sarasota. He was a member of the Cape Island Masonic Lodge #30 F. and A.M. in Cape May, N.J. for 60 years. Adam was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Master Mason in the valley of Central Jersey.Memorial donations may be made in his name to the First Presbyterian Church, 2050 Oak St., Sarasota, FL 34237.
