<!-- FH = Funeral Solutions -->The angels of the Lord welcomed Bert into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, January 4th at 7:30 pm.Survived by his wife of 39 years and love of his life, Joy; daughter, Marlene/Bob (Ontario); sons, Doug/Sandy (Arizona), Neil/Sandra (New Jersey), Jim (Florida), Melvin/Mary-Beth (Florida); seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.Born in Nutley, NJ in 1918, he enjoyed 93 wonderful years. He served his country as a WWII Air Corps Pilot Trainer and enjoyed his career as an electrical and mechanical engineer with Boeing, TRW and Lockheed, Space Program, Cape Canaveral. He shared his love of the Lord in the following ministries: churches in Seattle, Collingswood, NJ, Haiti and First Baptist Church of Merritt Island; worked with The Gideons at Sharpes Jail and local Outreach Ministries for 23 years.A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 11 am at The Chapel, First Baptist Church of Merritt Island.
