WELSH, William James “Bill“ - Peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on July 23, 2007, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Wallace). Loved and much respected Father of Robert. Cherished Grandpa of Natalie Booth and her husband Tom. Brother-in-law of Evelyn Barber and Anne Wallace. Will also be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Bill served in the R.C.A.F. for four years, WWII. He was a chief engineer with Waterous Ltd., Union Carbide Corp., Stelco and Henderson Hospital. Bill was a past president of the Hamilton and District Branch of the Canadian Bible Society, past chairman of the Board of Canadian Corps Commissionaires, an Elder at Chedoke Presbyterian Church, Eastmount Presbyterian Church, Alexandra Church, Brantford, and a former Mason. Family and friends will be received at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at Chedoke Presbyterian Church (865 Mohawk Rd. W. Hamilton) on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Farringdon Cemetery (in Brantford).
