BREWSTER - William Grenier, 72, died Saturday at his home. He was the husband of Dorothy (O'Brien) Grenier, who died in 1991. They were married for 34 years. Mr. Grenier was born in Danbury, Conn. A four-year Navy veteran, he served as a gunner mate on the USS Wisconsin during the Korean conflict. He was an honorary member of the Blue Knights. He worked for The Cape Codder for 37 years and was former owner and operator of Captain's Place, Brewster. Mr. Grenier founded Cape Cod Motorcycle Club and loved motorcycles, cars, racing and traveling. He also loved spending time with his family. Survivors include a son, Grant F. Grenier of Harwich; two daughters, Lucille Grenier and Juliet Palm, both of Brewster; two sisters, Jacqueline Fitzpatrick of Orleans and Driane Leland of Rutland; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans. Burial will be at a later date in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
