VIOLET WEIR It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Violet Weir on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. She was born Violet Scheirer on Feb. 25, 1919 in Lachwa, Poland. Violet was a kind, hardworking lady whose greatest pride was her family. She was the heart of the home and will be greatly missed. She was united in marriage on March 18, 1945 to George Weir, who predeceased her on March 12, 1970. She also was predeceased by her parents and four sisters. Violet is survived by her son, Ron; daughters, Linda (Dave) Hyatt, Debra (Brian) Stanford, and Connie (Cam) Mitchell. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Wade, Tyler (Lindsay), and Craig Hyatt, Kyle and Ashley Stanford, and Breanne and Lauren Mitchell; great-grandsons, Brady and Seth Hyatt; brothers, Fred Kunkel and George Scheirer; brothers- in-law, Albert and Tony (Dorothy) Weir, and Art Sexton; sister-in-law, Lila Weir; as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Lutheran Hour in Fort Frances, with Pastor David Gallas officiating. Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances at a later date. The honourary pallbearers will be Violet’s grandchildren. If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Church of the Lutheran Hour Memorial Fund, 508 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 2C4. A cluster of beautiful memories, sprayed with a million tears. Wishing God had spared you for a few more years. Thanks for the years you gave us and for the happy times we shared. We know that when you left us that you knew how much we cared. Again our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us home one by one, our chain will link again.
