Shirley E. (Gould) Jennings, of Hingham, passed away Oct. 11, 2010. Wife of the late Paul R. Jennings, she was the loving mother of Paul M. Jennings of San Diego, Mark S. Jennings of Rockland, Carol L. Sarner of New York and the late Susan Mason; mother-in-law of David Sarner; cherished grandmother of Megan Mason, Halle Sarner, Jason Sarner and the late David Mason.; sister-in-law of Patricia Jennings of North Quincy. Shirley was an avid book reader. She worked as a teachers aide for the Avon Public Schools for many years. After leaving the school system, she took a position at Hewitt's Cove Marina, where she worked in customer service. After retiring from the marina, Shirley volunteered for the local Hingham Community Television show called Senior Spectrum. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished her family. Shirley will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday 4- 8 p.m. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
