Sandra "Sandi" Kelley, certified rehabilitation registered nurse, selflessly devoted to her family, friends and patients, passed suddenly March 28, 2013, while traveling to aide a dying friend in California. Sandi was a 20-year resident of Marshfield. She was employed with Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital for over 30 years and Health South of Braintree and Mesa, Ariz., where she resided for the past six years. During her life she dedicated herself generously to family, friends and her nursing career. She continued to advance her nursing education while working full time and acquired various certifications and her B.S degree in nursing. She loved the summer and her favorite pastime was walking and relaxing at the beach. She was the loving wife of James Kelley of Marshfield. She is survived by her son, James Kelley IV and spouse Jen Kelley of Phoenix; daughter, Cheryl Kelley; and adored grandson, Angelo Lepere of Cape Coral, Fla.; her parents, Richard and Angelina Covert; brothers, Robert Covert, Michael Covert and Timothy Covert; sisters, Cheryl and Ronald Pike, Sue and Mike Rentschler; nieces, Nicki and Lizzy Covert; nephews, Richard Pike, Brian and Timothy Rentschler of upstate New York. She was predeceased by in-laws, Mary and James Kelley, father, Richard Covert, brothers, Richard Jr. and Timothy, sister, Sharon Covert, and nephew, Richard Covert Ellison. A memorial service will be held in the summer at the beach at which time family and friends will be notified to attend and to continue to honor and celebrate her life.
