Russell George Weir August 2, 1923 - October 27, 2008 - Veteran WWII Peacefully at the Henderson Hospital, on Monday, October 27, 2008, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Gloria. Loving father of Warren of Vancouver, Bryan and Jody of Peterborough, and Jeffrey and Lauretta of Burlington. Dear step- father of Kathleen and Michael Foley. Loved grandfather of Caitlin, Christopher, Hannah, Justin, Brian and Elizabeth. Russ was a dedicated teacher with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board for over 30 years. Russ' love of music led to his leadership and involvement in many choirs. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (905-544-1147) on Wednesday, October 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Russ' Life will be held at Delta United Church (47 Ottawa Street South) on Thursday, October 30 at 11 a.m. If so desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton, Delta United Church or the VON Adult Day Program.
