SINGER, Rudolph "Rudy" Martin Rudolph "Rudy" Martin Singer passed away peacefully from cancer at the Rockyview Hospital on August 18, 2007 at the age of 83 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-eight years, Bernice; his five sons, Barry, Curtis, Jason, Mark and Philip of Calgary; two sisters, Sally Martin of Qualicum Beach, BC and Elizabeth Fox of Regina, SK; two brothers, Ron Singer and Alex (Joan) Singer of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Rudy was predeceased by his parents, four sisters, Mary, Elsie, Bertha and Gladys, and two brothers, Fred and Eddie. Rudy served his country in the Navy from 1942 to 1945. After his discharge in Calgary, he had a rewarding career as an electrician. Rudy retired in 1984 and loved the great outdoors but his passion was sports. He was a member of the 1948 Calgary Stampeder Grey Cup Football team. In August 1958, he married Bernice Hagen of Hagen, SK. Rudy's dedication to his family and occupation will long be remembered by all. A Celebration of Rudy's life will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Services will follow in the Garden of Everlasting Life, Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
